You must have heard about Alexander the Great from Greece or Cyrus the Great of Persia. But this is devoted to the Great Military Leaders from East Asian region who fought for their country, but not known in Western society. Apart from East Asia, there are also several military leaders from Southeast Asia.

10. Tokugawa Ieyasu (Japan, 1543-1616)

Tokugawa Ieyasu was the founder of the Tokugawa shogunate of Japan, which lasted more than 250 years. He finally ending the Sengoku Period of Japan. He did this by defeating forces loyal to the Toyotomi clan and the West Pro in Japan.
He was a great leader who is believed to have fought in more than 90 battles. He is considered to have unifying Japan after the Japanese spirit weakened, following their defeat of Korea in the Imjin War.

9. Le Loi (Vietnam, 1345/1385-1433)

Le Loi was the founder of the Lê Dynasty, which became the longest ruling dynasty in the history of Vietnam (1428-1788). In 1407, Ming China attacked Vietnam to conquer the land. In 1418, Le Loi start a war against Ming, but he was defeated in 1427. Le Loi is one of the most famous figures of the medieval period of history of Vietnam and is one of the greatest heroes.

8. Eulji Mundeok (Korea, Mid-6th 618 AC)

Eulji Mundeok was a General of the Korean Goguryeo Sui War. Goguryeo Sui War is a series of attacks launched by the Sui Dynasty of China against Korea's Goguryeo Dynasty in 598 and 612-614. Mundeok Eulji soldiers lost in size, with about 300,000 Korean troops against more than 1 million soldiers Sui, in the second invasion. 7. Han Shizhong (Chinese, 1089-1151)

4. Nguyễn Hue (Vietnam, 1753-1792)

Nguyen Hue is also known as Emperor Quang Trung, was the second emperor of the Tay Son Dynasty, Vietnam. Are there any who do not know Sun Tzu? Sun Tzu is known by his book "The Art of War" that presents the philosophy of war to manage conflict and a victory in battle. Another well-known commander, even in the western world. Genghis Khan was the founder of the Mongol Empire, the largest empire in history. 1. Yi Sun-Sin (Korean, 1545-1598)

Admiral Yi Sun-Sin was a Korean naval leader in the Imjin War, which won 23 battle by using military tactics and strategy are very good. Battle Hansando which is the most important battles.
